Make plans, God laughs...

OK, so the plan was...   to come home after Stampaway sleep for 2 days and start life afresh getting things together in the studio, house, club and shop.  Get the web site running.  Get those DVD's done for the kits and stop being a crazy person.  Little did we know at the time, others had different plans for us.  Others being our son Travis.  At the time Travis was living in St. Louis teaching art and working in a wonderfully fun restaurant called the Osage.  Well worth the stop if you are ever through St. Louis.  He had told us he was coming home for several weeks during the summer to help us get things ship shape in the club and let us get some rest.  We didn't understand that really meant we would close down the inside part of our club totally gutting it and the kitchen.  So we went to work 18 hours a day, 7 days a week from the middle of August till the end of Oct.  Then it was time to serve all the holiday parties.  We have added to our adventures a new indoor year-round restaurant - Public at the Brickyard with our son and his business partner (long time school buddy) Drew.

4 of us spent 2 weeks building and finishing the tables.  The tables are covered in the reclaimed flooring
from the Limp Brewery, St. Louis & newspapers from 1954 Kansas City Star.
Come sit at a bit of history or pull up a table for a good read.
